Players In 2008/09 season

Chris Broughton (goalkeeper): 23-year old Broughton saw his registration completed on the morning of 7th December, where he was set to make his debut against The Griffin (the game was then postponed due to a frozen pitch). Will fill in when regular number one Luke Tucker is away.

Kevin Martin (defender): Kev started training with Nomads midway through the 2007/08 season and has opted to sign on for this season,  resuming training after a seven week stay in Australia. He has played in every position for his various clubs and will probably start the campaign looking for a place in the back four. Played in the infamous 18-0 pre-season defeat for Nomads against Royal Oak in 2005.

Andy Coombs (midfielder): Also plays for Welton Rangers and Clutton Reserves, Coombs offered his services to Nomads for the season and will play when the club is short of players.

Gareth Edwards (midfielder): Gareth has decided to re-join the club which he originally left a year ago. Has shown his commitment to the cause by cycling to training from the centre of Bristol. Impressed in the 2006/07 season but made a name for himself in the wrong light by being the first, and so far only, Nomads player to be sent off, this for dissent after defeat to Angel Sports Club in May last year.

Kev Lake (midfielder): Winger or striker Lake joined the club in the summer after a few training sessions. Played for Westfield last season. A skilful, tricky player who has been a decent addition to the squad.

Chris Rogers (midfielder): Another winger to join the club, Rogers cannot make training due to work but has made a few appearances off the bench so and hopes to force his way into the first 11. Strong on the ball and crosses well.

Tom Ross (midfielder): Creative midfielder who joined the club in October after training a few times throughout the summer. Currently at Uni in Nottingham so will only be used sparingly.

Dave Nicholas (striker): Appeared keen to sign for the club in the summer and paid his signing on fee, but hasn't trained since and has yet to make an appearance on matchday. Played for Paulton for the past three seasons, has an impressive goals per game ratio.

Players Out

Dave Southgate (defender): Assistant Manager Southgate left the club after the Bearberry win due to moving to Yate with his pregnant fiancee. Became a father in September to baby Holly.

Ad Maidment (midfielder/striker): Ad missed almost all of the second half of last season due to working Sundays. He's currently at Exeter Uni but is still following the club's progress.

Nath Maidment (goalkeeper): Reserve keeper Nath Maidment left the club in close season after failing to oust Luke Tucker from the number one spot.

Paul Matthews (utility): Matthews left the club in the summer due to knowing in advance that he'd miss a number of games as he'd be in Afghanistan, and is also to become a father in February. Still plays for Welton Rangers on Saturday mornings.

Dan Evans (midfielder): "Spider Dan" failed to earn a regular place in the side in his three seasons at the club, decided to leave in the summer after a few training sessions.

Matt Crozier (midfielder): Matt only attended a few training sessions in the summer and eventually decided to not extend his spell at the club he joined in October 2005.

Kev Page (defender): A persistant knee problem has caused Page to call time on his Nomads career in October, but he's stated he'll play in an emergency.

Jon Girvan (midfielder): Girvan has found it increasingly difficult to attend games and training sessions so has temporarily left the club. He said he might return in February/March time when his teaching schedule could be less hectic.
