Paul  Matthews

Paul, real name Troy, joined Nomads in August 2005. He went on to make 59 starts in a variety of positions, playing most of the first season in central midfield before moving back to defence in the second campaign. Scored a few spectacular goals, though he'd probably say three of his scrappier efforts came in an astonishing first half against Dilton Rovers in December 2007 when he hit a first half hat-trick. Left the club in September 2008 but signed on again two months later due to a player emergency, though he didn't need to appear. Matthews now lives in Basingstoke with his wife Emily, she gave birth to a baby girl, Evie, in February 2009.
